What We Believe
We are Christian.
We proclaim that Jesus is Lord and affirm the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed. However, you do not need to be a Christian to be a part of UKirk ETSU.
We are Presbyterian.
UKirk ETSU is part of the PC(USA) church and the Reformed tradition. If you would like to know more about the Reformed tradition and what the PC(USA) denomination believes, check out their website. However, you do not need to be Presbyterian to be a part of UKirk ETSU.
We are LGBTQIA+ open and affirming.
UKirk ETSU affirms the validity of all genders and sexualities, celebrates peoples of all identities, and affirms the dignity of all.
We are people in community.
We are people situated in a particular historical, geographical, and cultural context. We are people with individual experiences, individual perspectives, and individual beliefs. And we are people searching for belonging and meaning alongside one another. While UKirk ETSU is aligned with the Presbyterian Church and the Christian faith, we know that everyone has something to share, a voice to be heard, and deserves a places to feel loved. We hope that we may be that place. We hope that this may be a place to belong.
